Bird Gard is a family-owned company in Oregon which sells electronic bird control units all over the country and the world. They contacted us because they wanted to establish themselves online as a leader in the bird control market. To accomplish this goal we looked into their business and their competition to develop a personalized strategy for them!

Here are some of the basics of the strategies we employed.

Website Design

You see commercials everywhere now about sites that let you “build your site, quick, easy, and personal!” but the problem is, unless you have a trained SEO eyes, and are running on a platform that Google can actually read, no one will be able to find your website. When we build websites we craft them to include important keywords and phrases and format them in a way that is both functional but aesthetically pleasing, and gives Google plenty to work with.  With Bird Gard we found that people wanted to know how to protect their crops, and what birds attacked each crop. So we provided that information, organically doubling our keyword and keyphrase concentration as well as establishing them as an authority on bird control.

Landing Pages

Tying in from the previous section, landing pages are incredibly important when building a site. Making sure your viewers have a place to land that is interesting enough to draw them in and make them want to start clicking on the other pages on your site means your click through rate will be higher. You want to bring people to your website, but you also want them engaged in your site. Landing pages help make that happen. With Bird Gard we tailored pages on this site to make the viewers want to click, to learn how Bird Gard worked, how it protected certain crops and what birds targeted each crop.

E-commerce

In the age of the internet who hasn’t ordered something online? Offering E-commerce on your store adds convenience to your growing list of positives in the customer’s mind.
